1. Service Description
Fueltool provides a price comparison service for domestic heating oil in the United Kingdom. We display prices from independent suppliers and facilitate orders between customers and suppliers.
2. Price Accuracy
Prices displayed on Fueltool are provided by our suppliers and are updated regularly. However, prices are subject to change and may vary between the time of search and the time of order confirmation. The final price will be confirmed during checkout.
3. Orders
When you place an order through Fueltool, you enter into a contract with the selected heating oil supplier, not with Fueltool. The supplier is responsible for delivery, pricing, and customer service related to your order.
4. Delivery
Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by suppliers and are calculated in working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Fueltool is not responsible for delivery delays.
5. Tanker Access
It is your responsibility to ensure that the selected tanker size can access your property. If a delivery cannot be made due to access issues, additional charges may apply.
6. Payment
Fueltool does not process payments or hold your money. When you place an order you can either pay by phone (your supplier rings you to take payment) or, where your supplier offers it, pay online at checkout, by bank or by card. Online payments are made to your supplier through Stripe, and you pay the full quoted total when you order. If your supplier delivers fewer litres than you paid for, they refund the difference to the account you paid from. Your supplier may not charge you extra for the way you choose to pay.
7. VAT and how your total is worked out
Domestic heating oil is subject to VAT at the reduced rate of 5%. The price per litre shown in search results is the price excluding VAT. VAT is added on top, and your checkout page and confirmation email both show the subtotal, the VAT and the total including VAT separately.
If your tank takes less than you ordered, your supplier will charge you for the litres actually delivered at the same price per litre, plus VAT at 5%. That means the amount you are billed can be lower than the total on your order confirmation.
8. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Please use a strong, unique password and do not share your login details with others.
9. Limitation of Liability
Fueltool acts as an intermediary between customers and suppliers. We are not liable for the quality, quantity, or delivery of heating oil ordered through our platform.
