Fueltool has compared heating oil prices since 2011. It doesn't sell oil, it isn't owned by an oil company, and it's run by a person, not a call centre.

I'm Rhys, and I run Fueltool. It's a small operation on purpose: no sales team, no call centre and nobody paid to talk you into ordering today.
Emails to support come to me. If something goes wrong with an order, I'm the one who takes it up with the supplier.
Fueltool started in 2011 because comparing heating oil meant ringing round suppliers one at a time. The site did the ringing round instead: enter a postcode, see every listed supplier's price, pick the cheapest. Fifteen years on, that's still exactly what it does.

Suppliers pay Fueltool under a penny a litre on orders that come through the site. Every supplier pays the same rate, so there's no reason to favour one over another.

There are no featured listings and no paid spots at the top of the results.

No fees and no service charge from Fueltool, so the price you see in the results is the price you pay.
Worth knowing: not every comparison site works this way. Some are owned by, or tied to, oil suppliers, so it's worth checking who is behind any site you use. Fueltool doesn't sell oil and has never been owned by an oil company.
