Fueltool started in 2011 because comparing heating oil prices meant ringing round suppliers one at a time. So the site did the ringing round instead: enter a postcode, see every listed supplier's price, pick the cheapest.
Fifteen years later, that's still exactly what it does.
Suppliers pay Fueltool a small commission on the orders that come through the site: under a penny a litre, and the same rate for every supplier. That's the whole business model. There are no featured listings, no paid placements and no fees for you.
Because every supplier pays the same, there's no reason for us to favour one over another. And because you pay the supplier directly, the price you see in the results is the price you pay.
Fueltool is not owned by any oil company. We don't sell oil. We don't buy it wholesale and resell it. We have no preferred suppliers and we don't push one brand over another.
